Thank you for stopping by and welcoming me to Mindee.

Hi, I’m Favour Kelvin, and I’ve just joined Mindee’s DevRel team as a Technical Writer as I already announced on Twitter. The DevRel team at Mindee is expanding and I’m excited to join this incredible company that has a lot of accomplishments and potential and I’m looking forward to working with the fantastic people I’ve already met.

Prior to joining Mindee, in my first few years in tech, I focused mostly on software development as well as participating in the Open Source communities. I have been involved in many projects and have built both web and mobile applications using various technologies. I have also taken part in Open Source programs such as the Google Summer of Code’19 and Google Code-In’ 19. The Open Source community has always been a part of my career growth up to this point.

Aside from coding and building projects, I also write a lot of articles about software development and technology on the internet, documenting my new learnings and discoveries and this has helped not only myself but anyone else facing a similar issue. Doing this has evolved into my career, expertise, and passion. With this passion for writing, I took part in the Google Season of Docs’ 20 and have written for a number of companies like Coupler.io, Document Write, Extrimian, PeeringDB, and others.

So, what exactly is my role?

I know you’ve been waiting for this part, so here we go! At Mindee, helping clients understand how to use the API is my primary goal. In addition, I will also work towards keeping the documentation up to date, writing about new features, creating best practices guides, and overseeing all forms of written content all to provide the best experience for Mindee users. Sounds exciting right! I’m excited as well.

I will be working alongside an amazing person, Fred who is the Director of Developer Relations at Mindee and we will work together to achieve this. We’ll be bringing a lot to the table and also rolling out a lot of content as well. Be on the lookout for us.

If you have any concerns or questions about the documentation or any content suggestions that you will like to share, I will be happy to connect with you on Twitter or LinkedIn

P.S.: I am a music lover and an awful singer but that makes the perfect mix.
